Oct 12 & 13, 2019
Join us at District Time 2019, sponsored by NTH Watches. This two-day watch show is free and open to the public. It is the fourth annual event presented by The Time Bum blog and Maryland watchmaker McDowell Time, featuring unique and affordable timepieces from around the world. Visitors will discover a wide variety of watches from both emerging watchmakers and established brands, as well as a selection of vintage pieces. Most of the watches on display are usually only available online, so it is a rare opportunity for DC watch fans to get their hands on the real thing before they buy.
We are proud to introduce our lead sponsor for 2019, NTH Watches, a brand that produces fantastic watches and delivers outstanding value & service. NTH is about taking vintage inspiration and infusing it with new ideas, so you can think of it as either “N-T-H” for “Nod to History”, or “enth” for taking things to the Nth degree. In the NTH room at District Time, you can explore their collection and purchase one of their timepieces for yourself.
The Horological Society of New York to bring their award-winning, 4-hour watchmaking class to the event. You will have plenty of time to enjoy both the class and the show. The class costs $500 and seats are limited so reserve your place now! Sign up on Eventbrite.
Aspiring watch brand owners will want to check out Microbrand University on October 10 and 11. In the seminar, Chris Vail of NTH Watches, John Tooher of Head Room, John Keil of Watch Gauge, and Josh Irons or River Avenue Digital will share their tips for effective business strategy, branding, and marketing in the particular niche of microbrand watches. The two-day seminar is $2000, but you can get a $500 discount if you sign up by July 9, 2019. For more information and registration visit MicrobrandU.com.
Finally, if you are traveling from out of the area, be sure to take advantage of our $199/night group rate at the nearby Fairfield Inn, offered through Janis Trading Company. You can book your room here.
We can’t wait to see you there!
